The most common jobs of older workers, those ages 62 or older, can be physically demanding, according to findings from an Urban Institute study.
Among men, the five most common jobs are delivery workers and truck drivers, janitors, farmers and ranchers, followed by teachers and lawyers. As for women ages 62 years or older, the five most common occupations are teachers, secretaries, personal care aides, registered nurses, and child care workers.
Most older workers like working, with 61 percent of workers reporting they really enjoy going to work.
The data for the results came from the Health and Retirement Study, which is conducted by the Survey Research Center at the University of Michigan.
