If you’re retired and living in the big city, a move to the suburbs, for a slower pace of life, could save you money. GoBankingRates ranked the best suburbs for retirement based on cost of living, median home prices, property tax rates, and other factors. Arizona has two cities in the list -- Sun City and Green Valley.

The top five are Sun City, Arizona; Fairfield Harbour, North Carolina; Sunset Beach, North Carolina; Green Valley, Arizona; and the top suburb is Timber Pines, Florida. The percentage of households collecting Social Security there is 92 percent and the median home listing price is only $159,900. Timber Pines is a private retirement community that boasts “Country Club Living for Active Adults.” It has more than 3,400 homes and villas and offers amenities like golf courses and heated community pools.
