Majority of Americans Don't Believe Their Finances Will Improve in 2019

Most Americans don’t believe their financial situation will improve in 2019, finds a Bankrate.com study.

Bankrate’s Financial Outlook Survey found 55 percent of Americans don’t think their finances will improve in 2019. 44 percent said they situation will stay the same and 12 percent believe their situation will be worse.

Of those who said their finances will be worse off this year, about half blame political leaders in Washington DC.

The top financial priority for all respondents was paying off debt.
